Pilar Kraman Speaks at Judicial Intern Opportunity Program Orientation

Intellectual Property Litigation Partner Pilar Kraman was one of several attorneys to participate in this year's Judicial Intern Opportunity Program (JIOP) Orientation for law students interning with Philadelphia, New Jersey and Delaware courts. Ms. Kraman co-hosted a program with White and Williams' Partner and Chair Emeritus Patricia Santelle entitled "Building Blocks for a Successful Legal Career."  The orientation program also included panel discussions by a number of judges from the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

About JIOP

The Judicial Intern Opportunity Program (JIOP) is a full-time (six-week minimum) summer internship program open to diverse law students who want to do legal research and writing for state or federal judges. Applicants are interviewed and evaluated by members of the American Bar Association. Based upon the evaluation, qualified students progress to judicial review.  The mission of JIOP to provide opportunities to students who are members of racial and ethnic groups that are traditionally underrepresented in the profession. The program also provides opportunities to students with disabilities, students who are economically disadvantaged, women, veterans, and students who identify themselves as LGBTQ+.
